During his long-standing career with ABN AMRO he held a great many different positions and in 2000 he was appointed CEO. In 2008 he became a partner of Atlas N.V., an investment vehicle of Marcel van Poecke, the former CEO of Petroplus NV. Rijkman studied Dutch law at Utrecht University and Business Administration at the Manchester Business School.

Edzard Koole

He started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank and from 1984 to 1991 he carried out various activities for them in London and in Amsterdam, among others in the field of buy-out management, initial public offerings. Edzard studied Business Administration and specialized in Corporate Finance at Delft University and in addition he has a bachelor’s degree in Dutch Law from the University of Amsterdam.

Willem Sijthoff

As chairman of the STAK Sijthoff Pers he sold the family business to Wegener in 1994. Since then he has participated in several undertakings. He is also a limited partner in various venture capital funds in the tech and medical sector. His current supervisory directorships and other directorships include Agderposten, Catawiki, Xite, JMango, henQ Investment Fund II and III, Peak Capital, Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten and Amsterdam Art Weekend. Willem studied Economics at the University of Groningen and at the University of Amsterdam.

Paul Nielen

In 1989 he started at Bank Mees & Hope. Between 1993 and 2001 Paul held several positions at NIBC, including the position of board member of the corporate bank. In 2002 the Nielen Schuman firm was started, a leading Dutch consultancy in the field of corporate finance with debt advisory as one of its key areas. Paul studied Business Economics and Dutch Law at VU Amsterdam.

Rolf Nuijens

In 1994 he began his career at HAL Investments in Rotterdam, where he was an investment manager for private equity investments. In 1998 Rolf moved to London and started to work at Intermediate Capital Group PLC (ICG) where he remained employed for 17 years. Rolf was a member of the worldwide investment committee and was a co-head of ICG’s European Investment Team with a total Assets under Management of €6 billion and carried responsibility for the Benelux, Scandinavia and Germany. He left ICG in 2015 and has since been involved in a number of investments and projects. Rolf studied Econometrics at VU Amsterdam.

Bas Nienhaus

Bas co-founded WMP in 2004 and has been involved as a board member for the past 13 years. In 2020 Bas decided to leave WMP to start a new entrepreneurial adventure again. As a shareholder, he still remains involved with WMP. Bas has been active in the financial sector since 1995 as an analyst, portfolio manager for institutions, asset manager for high net worth individuals, foundations and associations. He previously worked for Effectenbank Stroeve and Kempen & Co. Bas studied Business Administration at VU Amsterdam.

Ljudmila Popova

Ljudmila started her career in 2006 at Kempen & Co as a Property Research Analyst and since has held various board member roles at Atrium European Real Estate, Globevest and Brack Capital Properties. In her current position at NIBC, she oversees the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets department as an Executive Director. Ljudmila studied Economics at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam and holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management WHU.

Bert started his career in 1993 at PGGM Investments and since worked as an investor, investment banker and fundraiser at various (real estate) investment management companies, including Partners Group, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. His extensive career has evolved around institutional real estate. In his current position at Bouwinvest, he is a Senior Portfolio Manager, focusing on management selection of US real estate vehicles for the Dutch pension fund for the construction sector. Bert studied Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology and holds a Master of Real Estate from University of Amsterdam and an MBA at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
